"All animals are created equal...

but some are more equal than others". Happy 60th birthday to Animal Farm by George Orwell. This is a classic case of a good idea being subverted by bad people or in this case bad pigs. The theme is incredibly appropriate for what is happening many places throughout the world today.

The Best 4 Days in Gaming!

GenCon, the biggest gaming convention in the world, starts Wednesday night in my hometown of Indianapolis. With my business being in the game industry and just loving to play games, this is going to be a week of little sleep and lots of caffeine.

Business Seminar

I went to a seminar on how to start a small business held by the ISBDC. It was moderately informative but seemed to be designed for people that didn't really know if they wanted to or what kind of business they wanted to start. Most of the stuff the speaker talked about I already knew or had already done. It was a good learning experience and provided a good list of resources that I can draw upon for the future. Now that I have my articles of Incorporation filed I just need to get my tax ID number from the state and federal government to actually get things rolling.

Senselessness

Keith, a friend of mine, committed suicide yesterday. Nobody really knows why but I'm sure it had to do with the fact that his ex-girlfriend (and the best woman that he ever had in his life) wouldn't take him back, he was drunk off his ass and he had several handguns in his possession. His brother, Ken, is probably my best friend and he is taking this very hard as I'm sure you can all imagine. Ken and I and several others went out to have a bit of an Irish wake style celebration last night. I would do anything to help Ken and he has several other friends that he can also count on for support as well, I just hope he keeps all in mind if he needs anything. So long Keithy, I hope you are doing better where ever you are now.

I'm now Incorporated

I went to the Secretary of States office and filed the paper work yesterday. As of Monday afternoon I can pick up the processed paper work and I'm in business. Now I get to contact distributors and actually start selling products. I guess that means the hard work is just getting ready to start. Capitalism, ain't it great.
